V's been on Waran for more than a year and due to stop the treatment. It was agreed to have an MRI scan again (his third in Falun) to establish a bit of a baseline and to make an informed judgment on stopping the blood thinner treatment.
V is well versed in the preparation for getting a PVK (peripheral venous catheter) in his hand or arm, as he has one about once a month for blood transfusions. This time, the MRI and the blood transfusion coincided so the same one could be used both for administering the anesthetics as well as the later blood transfusion.
